best news of the day…
as if that cover of sam cooke’s cupid that perez hilton posted the other day wasn’t magic enough… this is sure to be excellent.
two of my favs, amy winehouse and pete doherty are making music together!

Amy Winehouse has teamed up with Pete Doherty for a new duet.
The Rehab singer and the Babyshambles star recently recorded the track, which sees Amy showcasing her impressive guitar playing skills as well as her singing talents.
Pete’s bandmate, guitarist Mick Whitnall, said: “It’s a ska-type track.
Amy’s playing guitar on it and singing as well.
“She plays better than James Brown playing acoustic guitar. She thinks she’s s**t but she’s not. I’ve never met a man who plays like that, let alone a girl.”
Pete - who recently left rehab after a six-week stint for drug addiction - is not the only star eager to work with Amy.
It was revealed this week George Michael wants to duet with the controversial 24-year-old star.
George said: “I have written a song for Amy and I hope she likes it. I would love us to record it together, but we will have to see what she says.”
The 44-year-old singer - who like Amy has had a difficult relationship with alcohol and drugs - recently said Amy was the “best female vocalist” he had ever heard.
Prince is also a huge admirer of Amy and invited her to his Paisley Park recording studio in Minneapolis to record with him

This is killer news. Amy Winehouse isn’t necessarily my pint of Guinness, but she’s the perfect foil for Pete’s particular brand of genius.
(You hear that, Kate Moss, you skinny twat?)
This record is gonna be the most British jam since bad teeth and boiled meat - meaning I’m pretty much on board one-hundred-and-ten percent.
