this morning i was SO CLOSE to sleeping in. soooooo close. my guy got up and started getting ready for work, and i hit snooze twice more. finally he came in and forcibly removed me from the bed. he’s a good man. so i did end up going to the gym this morning.
i was having some really wack dreams… and i wish i could remember the details… something about the world being destroyed and being on the run… i think i’ve been watching too much battlestar galactica, lol. can’t help it. that show is good.
i really hope that our download of season 1 is done today… when i left for work this morning it was 60% done. and we started it on sunday. *sigh* i’m far far too impatient for this. but then again, it’s like 13 one hour episodes. so it’s kinda understandable.
can i just say one more time that bittorrent rules my world. ’cause it does.
so, i’ve been slowly discovering the “joys” of home ownership. first it was the $3,000 assessment that we had to pay for repairs on another building in our strata… then it was the bill coming for our property taxes… at least $1,000 (i was scared to look at it) and yesterday we got a bill from the city for our utilities for $400. wtf? i thought that shit was covered in the strata fees. fuuuuuuck.
i have no idea where i’m coming up with this money. i had to get a line of credit to pay the assessment… and i really really don’t want to go further into debt. but i guess i don’t really have a choice. i miss renting. fer real. whatever. just had to bitch there for a second… i really didn’t think about all these hidden bills and shit when we bought the place. what can i say? it was our first time, lol. there’s a steep learning curve.

Lol, I totally know what you mean about hidden costs. With the whole garbage disposal thing I pay about $440 a year too! I think it’s b/c as a Strata you can hire whatever independent garbage/recycling contractor you would like. Perhaps your building just chooses the city? Weird. I know.

Dang. Owning a house terrifies me. Looking for a house terrifies me even more.
We just started getting our shit together in order to take the plunge into mortgageville. Ay.
